Affordable Housing Trust advances Powder House Lane agreement, explores future projects.

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Affordable Housing Trust clears Powder House Lane regulatory agreement administration. Chair Sarah Mellish reported that the town's sole obligation under the agreement with property owner North Shore CDC is to approve rent-change proposals within 30 days; the trust agreed to recommend that Town Administrator Barletta direct staff to obtain the rent schedule and place it on a Select Board agenda. The trust's account holds $1,740,983.19 and discussed three prospective projects: a School Street property whose buyer expressed development interest, Standpipe Hill near the cemetery on approximately 10 acres of town-owned land, and potential Gordon College property development.
Treasurer Joan McDonald noted the Community Preservation Committee will vote on the trust's $200,000 request.
