Board of Assessors grants four real estate abatements totaling $410,700

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — The Board of Assessors approved four real estate abatements totaling $410,700 at its March 19 meeting. Chair J. Robert Beatty, Member Jeffrey R.

McAvoy, and Member Louis R. Logue voted unanimously to grant abatements reducing property values at 6 Rockwood Heights by $18,000, 8C Summer Street by $69,500, 113 Ocean Street by $97,500, and 6 Highland Avenue by $225,700. The board denied abatement applications for 52 Pleasant Street and 6E Summer Street.

Principal Assessor Branciforte announced her resignation effective March 25, with retired Andover Principal Assessor David Billard preliminarily agreed to serve as temporary acting assessor.
