MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Manchester Board of Health clears club to operate. The Board of Health unanimously approved Dr. Martin Hahn's motion to allow the Manchester Bath and Tennis Club to open contingent on fall septic-system pumping as recommended by contractors D.F.

Clark and Clear Water Industries, who inspected the tank and deemed it satisfactory. Bath and Tennis Club Manager Kimberly Bird had obtained the required pumping quotes. Board members Peter Colarusso, Joan Cottler, Dr.

Hahn, and Donna Furse voted in favor. In separate votes, the board unanimously approved a preliminary septic-repair concept for 32 Proctor Street and amended its tobacco-control letter to specify that manufacturers and state or regional tobacco programs determine characterizing flavors.
