MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Manchester-by-the-Sea Historic District Commission approves new hanging sign at Oliva Enoteca downtown. The Commission unanimously approved a Certificate of Appropriateness for applicant David Gallagher's new hanging wooden sign with black background and gold lettering at 2 School Street, after waiving the public hearing requirement. The design matches a nearby Lavender and Moss sign in size and style.

The Commission issued a Request for Quotations for consultant services to gauge public interest in historic preservation and support a proposed Demolition Delay By-Law, with member Richard Smith volunteering to prepare frequently asked questions and member Evonne Blanchard to research historic photographs and demolished buildings.
