Commission approves well treatment facility for Lincoln Street

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Manchester Conservation Commission approves four projects including PFAS treatment for water supply. Vice Chair Henry Oettinger led the meeting in the absence of Chair Steve Gang, overseeing approval of the Lincoln Street well treatment facility, which will remove PFAS compounds to non-detect levels using granular activated carbon for the well serving 40 percent of the town's drinking water, with annual carbon media replacement required. The commission also approved orders for patio improvements at 146 Bridge Street, cottage expansion at 373 Summer Street, and sidewalk construction on Atwater Avenue.
