Open Space & Recreation Committee · Meeting of June 18, 2026

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — The Open Space and Recreation Committee approved prior meeting minutes unanimously and reviewed multiple town trail and park projects at its June 18 session. The Conservation Commission approved approximately $2,500 for tree removal contractor work at Powder House Hill, with the committee limiting work to fire road and primary trail arms. Committee members determined to attend separate presentations on the Gordon College/Gordon Woods proposal to municipal boards rather than request a dedicated briefing.

The committee deferred July's meeting and scheduled the next regular session for Thursday, August 20, 2026. Ongoing projects include GIS mapping of town-owned land, Notice of Intent review for Shingle Hill 40B, parking improvements at Newport Park, and trail signage work at Dexter Pond.
