MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — The Bike and Pedestrian Committee met April 15 to plan May Bike Month events and survey town bike infrastructure. Co-chairs Brian Frey and Dana Vermilye oversaw approval of prior minutes and assigned roles for upcoming events including "Hit the Street," Bike to School activities, and related programming. Committee members Terry Cowman, Ann Guyer, and Peter Chobanian took on coordination tasks for volunteer support, materials, and outreach.

In a parallel infrastructure project, the committee mapped approximately 18 to 25 existing bike racks across town using Google Maps and Excel tracking, with plans to inventory rack sizes and capacity. The committee also flagged a nonfunctional email contact channel limiting resident engagement.
