Facilities Committee Advances Planning with Owner's Project Manager

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Facilities Planning Committee moves to hire project manager for campus facilities study. The committee agreed in consensus to develop a Request for Qualifications for an Owner's Project Manager, expected to begin in April. Director of DPW Chuck Dam presented preliminary cost estimates ranging from $50 million to $78 million depending on phasing of Police, Fire, and Public Works facilities, based on analysis by consultant Tetra Tech.

The committee has spent six and a half months conducting site tours and reviewing facility conditions, with the OPM expected to provide detailed analysis by year's end to inform budget planning.
