MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Facilities Planning Committee questions Senior Center kitchen expansion scope and reviews Bathhouse concept plan. Town Engineer and Facilities Manager Nate Desrosiers presented interior revisions to the Senior/Community Center including a full commercial kitchen expansion and dedicated offices; the Committee questioned whether the expanded scope meets actual programming needs. A concept plan for Singing Beach Bathhouse as a space consolidation exercise was reviewed.
Member Cathy Bilotta cautioned against presenting aspirational designs as formal proposals to the public. The Committee tabled final action on its Facility Planning Committee Charge, agreeing to add a "lessons learned" component before presenting to the Select Board.
