MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Facility Planning Committee advances solar study, prioritizes police facility planning. The committee directed staff to solicit a formal proposal from B2Q Associates for a town-wide solar and energy efficiency study targeting fall Town Meeting, aligning with the town's path toward the State's Climate Leader designation and access to one-time $1 million grant funding. The panel identified as near-term priority the hiring of an owner's project manager for DPW, Police and Fire facility planning.

Regarding the Senior/Community Center project, consensus was reached that a formal energy model was unnecessary for the approximately 6,000-square-foot building under design development.
