Finance Committee approves FY27 harbor and municipal budgets

Finance Committee · Meeting of January 29, 2026

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Manchester-by-the-Sea Finance Committee unanimously approves FY27 operational budgets for harbor and finance departments. The committee approved $317,838 for harbor operations on January 29 at Town Administrator Tony Barletta's recommendation, a 1.54 percent increase that addresses Harbormaster Bion Pike's request for expanded Friday-through-Sunday evening coverage but falls short of the department's $334,312 request. Harbor Launch Service received $53,000, entirely self-funded through user fees.

Finance and Treasurer/Collector budgets passed unanimously at $295,665 and $242,525, while the committee approved $313,503 for state and county assessments including $196,754 in state local aid.
