MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Finance Committee votes $350,000 for Senior Center design and procurement. Town Administrator Tony Barletta presented the expanded Senior Center concept, now budgeted at $7.2 million—more than double the original $3 million estimate—and requested $350,000 for full design work funded from the Parks and Recreation Revolving Fund. Committee members expressed concern about committing funds without a signed purchase agreement with the Masons or concrete fundraising commitments, though a feasibility study had projected $3 million in donations over three years.
The Committee voted to make the request a separate warrant article. Finance Director Andrea Mainville reported the Town is $250,000 over budget for FY26 snow removal and recommended appropriating the full amount from Free Cash at Town Meeting.
