Finance Committee · Meeting of January 22, 2026

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Finance Committee approves three FY27 municipal budgets totaling over one million dollars. The Council on Aging received $234,068, the Board of Health $214,013, and the Library $584,162, all approved unanimously. Committee members supported the Library's requested $8,656 increase for extended hours and summer Saturday operations despite town administration's recommendation against it.

The committee also discussed the Community Preservation Committee's $620,000 in available funds and voiced concerns about the Affordable Housing Trust, which holds approximately $1.7 million but has produced no affordable housing units to date.
