Manchester, Gloucester set health records digitization timeline

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Health alliance sets April 29 for digitization launch. Manchester and Gloucester officials agreed to begin digitizing health department records on April 29, 2026, as part of a shared service grant initiative. Board of Health Chair Peter Colarusso and Public Health Agent Wendy Hansbury participated in the advisory board meeting alongside Town Administrator Tony Barletta and Gloucester Public Health Director Dominique Hurley.
The project will create a searchable system using OpenGov for workflows and SharePoint for long-term storage. The board also discussed septic compliance tracking through the Carmody system and adding an ad-hoc health inspector to expand inspection capacity.
