Parks and Recreation Committee approves three-month trial for Crowell Chapel use

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Parks and Recreation Committee backs chapel trial, beach chair rental business. The committee unanimously approved a three-month trial for Crowell Chapel use and forwarded the request to the Select Board, with Wendy Dixon presenting details on insurance, cleaning, and parking. The committee also voted unanimously to support chair rental entrepreneurs Beckett Gibbons and Ben Rubens at Singing Beach, noting their completion of insurance quotes, state compliance work, and plans for Tax ID and Sales Tax ID numbers.
Both proposals advance to the Select Board. The committee additionally approved the Manchester Memorial 5K for May 8, 2026.
