The planning board voted to submit five articles aimed at downtown development: creating two zoning districts, allowing 12-room inns, permitting accessory units in D1 and D2 districts, defining senior housing to 10 units per acre, and shifting driveway entrance authority from the planning board to Public Works. The committee discussed a virtual business improvement district and improvements to the Pine, Bridge, and Bennett Street intersection, with Chairman Steven Carhart committing to coordinate with Public Works and Kurt Svetaka to develop specific recommendations.
