Planning Board approves zoning map amendment for four School Street properties.

Planning Board · Meeting of March 23, 2026

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Planning Board unanimously recommends approval of citizen petition rezoning four School Street properties. Chair Sarah Creighton and the board voted to advance the amendment at Town Meeting, which would rezone 115, 117, 119, and 121 School Street from Residential District A to Residential District B, bringing three non-conforming lots into compliance and allowing subdivision of the fourth while preserving an existing house. The Board also unanimously approved modifications to Special Permit conditions for 22 Union Street LLC following engineering constraints documented by DPW Director Chuck Dam.

The Board launched a Housing Production Plan update with consultant Karen Sunnarborg and discussed driveway regulation revisions to be posted before Town Meeting.
