Planning Board continues review of Deer Hill Road duplex proposal, approves tower modification

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Planning Board approves 5G tower modification with surety bond requirement. The Board unanimously approved a Special Permit for Cellco Partnership, LLC d/b/a Verizon Wireless to remove three antennas and install six new antennas and additional hardware on the existing monopole at 17 Ashland Avenue, with a 6-inch expansion limited to the upper section, on the condition that an existing $25,000 surety bond held by Vertical Bridge remain in place; two members abstained. Separately, the Board continued a public hearing on a two-duplex, four-unit residential proposal at 1 Deer Hill Road, with applicant Tom Ford required to submit a landscape plan, design-intent statement, stormwater drainage plan, and materials list before a final decision.
