Regional health board elects leadership and approves remote meetings

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Regional public health alliance establishes governance structure with elected leadership. Gloucester Public Health Director Dominique Hurley was elected chair and Manchester Board of Health Chair Peter Colarusso vice chair of the Cape Ann Public Health Alliance Advisory Board on April 6. Hurley was elected unanimously; Colarusso won 4-0-1 with an abstention.
The five-member board voted unanimously to conduct all meetings fully remote under Massachusetts authorization through June 2027 and set a schedule of quarterly sessions plus additional meetings May 5 and June 9, 2026. The board also established procedures requiring agenda items be submitted seven days in advance and approved by both chair and vice chair.
