MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Select Board approves $3.8 million water financing and adopts revised flag policy. Chair Ann Harrison moved that the board approve $3,829,000 in bond anticipation notes for water system improvements, a decrease from prior-year borrowing due to meter-replacement surcharge revenues. The board voted unanimously on the financing and also adopted a revised flag policy on a five-to-zero vote, appointing Conservation Commission members Martha Farmer, who holds degrees in zoology and physiology, and Arnold Oyola, with an engineering background in medical devices.
The notes fund water improvements authorized under town votes passed in April and May 2024.
