MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Manchester Select Board approves curbside trash and recycling collection program with annual fees. The Select Board unanimously approved a new curbside collection program with annual fees ranging from $100 for the standard package of one 35-gallon trash barrel and one 65-gallon recycling cart to $200 for maximum capacity options, following a public forum presented by Town Administrator Antonio Barletta. Tuesday and Wednesday collection days were approved with every-other-week recycling as the initial model, offering an option to shift to weekly collection at approximately $70,000 additional annual cost if warranted by resident feedback.

The Board voted 4-1 to maintain a mandatory water conservation ban as Manchester remains under state-declared Level 3 Critical Drought, with Member Ann Harrison dissenting.
