MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Select Board approves National Grid projects and schedules December election. The board unanimously approved two National Grid petitions for underground conduit installations on Central Street and Jersey Lane; the Central Street project requires work to avoid trash pickup day (Wednesday). Town Administrator Antonio Barletta presented dates for the special town meeting set for November 16 and the special election set for December 10, the latter chosen to avoid placing the voter registration deadline the day after Thanksgiving.

The board also voted unanimously to downgrade water restrictions from Level 3 to Level 2 and to reserve $64,256.73 in state snow and ice reimbursement for potential fiscal year 2027 use.
