Select Board approves National Grid conduit upgrades, beach chair rentals, mobile sauna operation

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Select Board unanimously approved two National Grid petitions for underground electrical conduit installation on Proctor Street and Bennett Street, along with seasonal commercial beach operations. National Grid will spend approximately one day trenching 148 feet on Proctor Street to upgrade distribution conduits, and two days on Bennett Street under ledge conditions; Board Member Brian Sollosy secured coordination with potential gas work to minimize resident disruption. The board appointed Tracy Davis to the Cultural Council and Patricia Glennon to the Council on Aging Board, approved The Chair Spot LLC beach chair rentals at Singing Beach from June 17 to September 7 for $15 full-day and $10 half-day rates, permitted Let's Sauna LLC to operate a mobile sauna at White Beach parking on April 18, and authorized the Manchester-by-the-Sea Museum to display a Forster Flag replica April 18 to 25 in commemoration of Patriots Day.
