MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Winthrop Field Committee backs mowing contract, maintenance plan. The Committee unanimously approved a 2026 mowing contract with Seaview Farm consistent with the previous year's terms, with mowing scheduled after July 15 per Audubon nesting-bird guidelines. Michael Chapman, Committee Chair, will coordinate a contractor to inspect and clean the culvert and drain line from Winthrop Field to Whittier's Cove in August.

Prescott Logan will coordinate with the Manchester Department of Public Works and Town Tree Warden for removal of dead trees along Jersey Lane deemed a safety concern. The Committee expressed support for a fall Cub Scout model rocket event at the field and deferred a livestock grazing proposal for further review.
