MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — The Winthrop Field Committee has authorized a culvert assessment and tree-planting initiative. Acting Chair Prescott Logan, standing in for absent Chair Michael Chapman, directed the five-member Committee to coordinate a contractor assessment of the drainage system beneath Bridge Street, last cleaned in February 2023. The Committee also unanimously supported a proposal from Friends of Manchester Trees to plant three new trees at field's perimeter, scheduled for the week of April 13 with full commemorative funding.

Additional action items include mowing-contract renewal, walking-path re-staking, removal of a dead tree on Jersey Lane, and spring clean-up outreach coordination.
